# Compare money makers by cash efficiency as well as absolute GP

An early OSRS account may care about how much cash a method ties up, even when another method has a larger total contribution.
Consider two hypothetical twenty-minute batches. Batch A requires 20,000 GP and contributes 2,000 GP. Batch B requires 200,000 GP and contributes 6,000 GP. B contributes more in total; A contributes more relative to its required cash, at ten percent versus three percent for that session. Neither percentage is an annual return or a forecast.
If the account cannot fund B, its larger contribution is irrelevant today. If both are affordable, the player still needs to compare time, attention, inventory risk and whether the cash returns quickly enough for the next purchase. A percentage alone does not settle that choice.
OSRS Money Maker’s early-game finder accepts a cash budget to narrow the method list. Use that to establish feasibility, then compare the actual batches you could run.
Keep the time window next to any cash-efficiency figure. A ten-percent contribution achieved once with slowly selling outputs is different from a reliably replenished loop. There is no reason to scale a ratio into a promise that the entire bank will compound at the same pace.
