# F2P and Members are different operating constraints

Membership is not a cosmetic label on a money-making list. It changes the available areas, items, skills, and transport options. A free-world player should not have to inspect every attractive result only to discover that the route is members-only.

The early-game OSRS finder asks for F2P or Members access before building the shortlist. A Members account can still consider suitable F2P methods, while a F2P-only choice should remove methods that depend on member content.

This is another reason to filter before sorting by profit. The highest rate outside the account’s world access is not an opportunity. It is noise, and removing it makes the remaining comparison faster and more honest.

When membership changes, rerun the shortlist rather than simply adding a few member methods to an old F2P ranking. Travel, market access, and skill choices may change together. A new constraint set deserves a fresh comparison because the best fallback in a free world may be a poor use of member time.
