# Captions that explain an AI musical meme

A caption should help the intended audience understand a short AI performance. It can identify the occasion, the participants and the artificial scene without pretending that a fictional performance really happened. These notes give a practical way to write and review that accompanying text.

Contents

# Start with one clear idea

Write down the occasion in ordinary language: a birthday, a reunion, a private joke or a greeting. Then name the scene in a way that a friend would recognize. A caption such as “Our AI recording-booth duet for the group chat” explains the premise without claiming a real recording session took place.

Keep the caption separate from the generated song. A sample message is a suggestion for accompanying text, not a promise that a video service can sing arbitrary new words. Check what the selected template actually offers.

# Match the caption to the template

The Hotel Lobby AI video template shows an orange recording-booth performance with people at a microphone. A recording or duet reference therefore gives useful context.

The Oouuh AI template, also called What You Want Me To Do AI, shows a kitchen duet with ukulele and singing. A kitchen-performance caption fits that scene. The template page also includes a one-photo example with the same person in both roles; inspect its current examples and input instructions before selecting photographs.

# Use sample captions as drafts

These examples are writing prompts. Change the wording to fit the actual participants and occasion. Do not add a claim about a person’s actions or endorsement that they have not agreed to.

# Review the caption beside the clip

Watch all 15 seconds with sound, then read the caption alongside the final crop. Check names and spelling. Make sure text overlays leave faces visible and that the caption still makes sense if the sharing app starts without sound. Ask other participants to review the result before posting to a larger audience.

Use photographs you have permission to use and keep source images in private storage. Save an original copy of the output before adding text or changing the framing.
