# MuScans: a guide to the platform’s publishing role
Prepared by the MuScans team with AI assistance.
Contents
MuScans brings together two activities: scanlation groups sharing their latest comic releases, and comic creators publishing work they control. It is primarily a Chinese-language platform. An English interface is available, but interface language and the language of an individual comic are separate matters.
# For readers
The release hub helps visitors follow updates from participating groups. Readers should check a particular work’s language, creator information, rating and permission details rather than assume that every release has the same status. The wider catalogue includes mature/adult material intended for adults aged 18 and over.
# For creators
Creators can use MuScans as a place to publish their own comics. Some free works are published with individual creators’ authorization. This describes those works; it does not establish that the entire catalogue is licensed or that all platform services are free.
A creator considering another publishing outlet can review the live website and ask the MuScans team about current publishing arrangements through support@muscans.com. This overview is not a publication agreement and grants no translation or redistribution rights.
