# The five-second beat: a small habit for video prompts
Long prompts that describe a whole minute of action tend to blur together. A tip from the Seedance prompt collection is to start with a five-second beat: one subject, one action, one camera idea.

Why it helps:
- A short beat is easy to judge. Either the move works or it does not.
- Cheap low tiers let you test the motion before one full-tier run.
- Once the beat works, the same brief can be re-run at every ratio, from portrait to widescreen.
A quick way to practise is to browse the 92 shot briefs, each shown with the clip it produced: one-shot sequences, handheld vlogs and stop-motion. Copy one into the panel with its settings preset, change the subject, and keep the length short.
The briefs are on the Seedance prompts page. The video studio and the wider prompt library are on vorapix.ai.
