Terms of Service

The rules of the house, in plain language. The short version: your words stay yours, don't publish garbage, and paid plans cancel whenever you like.

# The service

lucid.page is a publishing tool run by Bitgate: you write or paste Markdown, and we typeset it and serve it at a URL. These terms cover the website, the editor, the API, and the MCP server. By using lucid.page you accept them.

# Accounts and API keys

Publishing works without an account. Signing in — Google, via Firebase — adds a dashboard, private pages, and API keys. You are responsible for what happens under your account and your keys: treat an lp_ key like a password, and revoke it from the dashboard if it leaks.

# Your content

Your words stay yours. You keep every right to what you publish; you grant us only the license needed to store, render, and serve it to the people you share the link with — and, for pages you mark public, to index and list them. You can update or delete your pages at any time, and deletion is real deletion.

You are responsible for what you publish. Don’t publish content you have no right to share.

# Acceptable use

No illegal content, no phishing or malware, no spam or link-farm dumps, no sexual content involving minors, no doxxing, no harassment campaigns, and no probing, overloading, or scraping the service beyond the published rate limits. Pages that break these rules can be taken down — they will answer 451 — and accounts can be suspended, with or without warning depending on severity. Report abuse to abuse@bitgate.com.

# Paid plans

Pro and Team subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe; current prices live on the pricing page. Cancel any time from the billing portal — the plan stays active until the end of the paid period, and partial periods are not refunded. A subscription lifts rate limits; it does not change how these terms apply to content.

# Availability and changes

lucid.page is offered as is: we run it with care, but there is no uptime guarantee and no warranty. Features may evolve over time, and pages can carry their own expiry. If the service is ever discontinued, we will give reasonable notice, and your Markdown stays exportable at /raw/ until the lights go off.

# Liability

To the extent the law allows, Bitgate is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost profits, or lost data arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

# Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, and disputes go to the Dutch courts.
